Halkos G, Skouloudis A, National CSR and institutional conditions: An exploratory study, Journal of Cleaner Production (2016), doi: 10.1016/j.jclepro.2016.07.047

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) footprints in terms of relevant policies, plans and programs are evident at a global scale, but the level of national uptake and penetration differs, as countries differ considerably in terms of institutional efficiency. With this in mind, the purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between CSR penetration and institutional conditions that shape and define the macroeconomic environment and development dynamics of countries.
